Also, it's worth briefly mentioning to you that working in one of San Francisco’s top two globally acclaimed Two Michelin Star restaurants sure hasn't hurt either! There I learned volumes about the secrets of French, Thai, Italian, Moroccan, and California cuisines.

Okay, okay, enough about me already. Let's talk a little more about how you can very quickly and easily become well versed in many regional cuisines and preparation techniques...

Each international recipe provided will essentially give you a snapshot of its unique "flavor profile" and break down into an easily digestible list of ingredients that are commonly found in that ethnic food category. In these cooking classes we'll also discuss many other interesting idiosyncrasies (quirks!) that make "their" food taste the way it does!

There is simply too much wonderful food out there in the world to eat the same things over and over again! In fact, many of these great international delicacies are being prepared in a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant near you. These independently owned establishments likely serve up authentic ethnic foods that knock the socks off the americanized fast food industry or nationwide cookie-cutter restaurant chains.

Ok, sorry for getting a little preachy. Please understand. :D

The next time you are thinking about picking up some Asian food, check out the local listings for a Vietnamese restaurant in your area. These quaint little places usually specialize in the best beef noodle soup ever, Phở. My mouth waters just thinking of it.

Also, some of these international recipes I'll feature often aren't available in you locality. Take Cajun cuisine for example. It's pretty hard to find a good restaurant serving a mean bowl of Jambalaya or Crayfish Étouffée up here in Northern California.
